The teacher who made a difference in my life was Dr. Hunter. Dr. Hunter was a professor in graduate school who helped me to fully understand what it means to teach. Dr. Hunter showed us through her actions that teaching is much more than just a career — rather, she asserted that teaching was a calling. She helped us to understand what it means to be responsible for children in today’s world. Dr. Hunter helped her students to grow and mature into educators who were dedicated to enriching the lives of children. I am grateful for Dr. Hunter for showing me the depth of a teacher’s feelings for her students by the way she treated her own.
