The teacher I remember most was my first grade teacher, Mrs. Bonnell. I was a hyper six year old who never stopped talking; she was kind and patient with me always. I spent countless times in the corner that year, but I never doubted that Mrs. Bonnell loved me! She made me feel like I was someone special.
Four years later my father passed away. Mrs. Bonnell came to my father’s funeral to pay her respects. I was amazed, and from then on I knew I had to become a teacher. She really cared about us! I want to care for my own students the same way she cared about me.
